July 11 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's 2.5 MW hydro power plant Miljacka worth some 7 million marka ($4 million/3.6 million euro) will be commissioned in November, ahead of schedule, local media reported.
The contractor of the project, local company Green Energy, has obtained all necessary permits and the works are running smoothly, SRNA news agency quoted the energy minister of Bosnia's Serb Republic entity, Petar Djokic, as saying.
The municipality of Istocni Stari Grad of the city of East Sarajevo, in the Serb Republic, will benefit from a concession fee of some 70,000 marka per year from the operation of the hydro power plant, SRNA said, adding the project currently employs some 100 people.
The Serb Republic is one of two entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
