SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), June 24 (SeeNews) – Bosnian stock indices ended mostly down this week, stock exchange data showed on Friday.
The SASX-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue chips of the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE), closed at 1,021.54 points on Friday, up 1.37% from a week earlier.
The SASX-30 index, which comprises the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, fell 0.23% from last Friday to 1,051.03 points.
SASE's index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, fell 0.37% from last Friday, closing at 1,803.34 points.
SASE's total turnover plunged to 2.0 million marka ($1.5 million/1.0 million euro) this week from 4.8 million marka last week.
Drug firm Bosnalijek [SAJ:BSNLR] was the most traded stock on SASE's official market this week, the bourse said in its weekly report but gave no turnover figure. The stock closed at 12.55 marka on Friday, down from 12.99 marka a week ago.
On the unofficial market, diversified company Elektro Grupa posted the highest weekly turnover of 280,000 marka. The stock ended at 280 marka on Tuesday, down 24.32% from its previous close on January 26.
The SASE is based in the Muslim-Croat Federation, one of Bosnia's two autonomous entities. The Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) is based in the other part, the Serb Republic.
BLSE's benchmark BIRS index fell 4.07% from a week ago, ending at 1,048.18 points on Friday.
The bourse's investment fund index, the FIRS, dropped 1.67% from last Friday to 1,999.78.
BLSE's total turnover soared to nearly 56 million marka this week from 1.9 million marka last week after on Monday the Serb Republic government sold its second issue of Treasury bills worth 28.3 million marka on the bourse.
Trading in bonds contributed 50% of this week's total turnover on the BLSE versus 24.7% last week.
Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] fell 7.69% from last Friday to 1.56 marka, generating the biggest weekly turnover of 86,015 marka on the BLSE's official market.
Among investment funds traded on the BLSE, ZIF Kristal Invest Fond [BANJ:KRIP-R-A] posted the largest weekly turnover of 46,051 marka. Its average weighted price fell 1.82% from last Friday to 7.0 marka.
