SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 23 (SeeNews) – The indices of Bosnia's Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) and Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) ended higher this week, bourse data indicated on Friday.
BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, added 0.60% from last Friday to 765.59 points.
The bourse's investment fund index, the FIRS, increased 1.98% from last week to 1,952.53 points.
BLSE’s total weekly turnover increased to 2.8 million marka ($1.9 million/1.4 million euro) from 1.8 million marka last week.
Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] generated the biggest weekly turnover of 104,286 marka on BLSE's official market this week. The average price at which its shares traded this week was 1.71 marka, 1.18% up from a week earlier.
The BLSE is based n the Serb Republic, one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. SASE is based in the other entity, the Muslim-Croat Federation.
The SASX-10 index, tracking the 10 blue chips of the SASE, ended at 750.16 points, up 0.13% from last Friday.
The broader SASX-30 index, comprising the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, closed at 899.08 points on Friday, 0.02% up from a week earlier.
SASE's index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, fell 2.15% from last week to 1,537.72 points.
Drug maker Bosnalijek [SAJ:BSNLR] was the most traded stock on SASE's official market this week, generating a total turnover of 401,956 marka.
SASE's weekly equity turnover increased to 3.2 million marka this week from 2.1 million marka a week earlier.
