May 13 (SeeNews) - The share indices of Bosnia's Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) and the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE), closed mostly lower on Friday, compared with their values a week earlier, bourse data showed.
The 10-share benchmark SASX-10 index of the SASE ended Friday's session at 962.90 points, down 0.67% compared with its closing value on May 6.
The broader SASX-30 index, which is composed of the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, rose 0.30% to 1,696.47 points.
The SASE index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, closed at 830.68 points, 0.23% lower compared with May 6.
The Islamic stock index SASX-BBI, launched by SASE and Bosna Bank International (BBI), fell 0.34% to 11,382.05 points. The index tracks 25 companies.
SASE’s turnover came in at 469,107 marka ($248,700/239,900 euro) this trading week, as a total of 23,511 shares changed hands in 68 transactions.
Pharmaceuticals producer Bosnalijek [SAJ:BSNLR] generated the highest revenue on SASE this week, of 2,425 marka. Its shares closed last traded on May 10, when they closed 0.33% higher at 24.50 marka.
The SASE is based in the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The BLSE is based in the other entity, the Serb Republic.
The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 800.77 points on Friday, down 0.74% compared to its closing value recorded a week earlier.
The bourse's total trading turnover dropped to 1.5 million marka this week from 24.9 million marka last week, as 90 transactions were carried out.
Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] generated the largest trading turnover, of 557,984 marka, on the BLSE's official market this week. The company's shares closed 2.65% higher at 1.55 marka on Friday.
