SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 12 (SeeNews) – Bosnian state-controlled power utility Elektroprivreda BiH [SAJ:JPESR] said on Monday its net profit slumped to 620,382 marka ($390,071.6/317,196.3 euro) in 2017, from 12.9 million marka in the previous year.
Operating revenue rose 11.8% year-on-year to 1.12 billion marka in 2017, while operating costs grew 15.1% to 1.14 billion marka, the company said in a filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange.
EPBiH, the biggest of Bosnia’s three power utilities, is based in the Federation, one of the two autonomous entities that from the Balkan country. The other one is the Serb Republic.
The company is yet to release its 2017 output figures. It said late last year it expects a net loss in 2017 due to unfavourable hydrological conditions and higher-than-expected expenditures.
