July 20 (SeeNews) - Bosnian state-owned motorway construction company Autoceste Federacije BiH has invited sealed tenders for the construction of the Poprikuse-Zenica north section of Corridor Vc, the European Bank for Reconstruction and development (EBRD) said on Thursday.
Works on the Poprikuse-Zenica north section, subsection Vranduk - Ponirak in total length of 5.3 km, will be financed from a loan signed with the OPEC Fund for International Development – OFID, the EBRD said in a statement.
The route of the subsection Vranduk - Ponirak is connected to the section Nemila – Vranduk in the north and to the section Ponirak – Vraca in the south, the bank said.
The works will include the construction of retaining walls, two bridges 385 and 360 m in length, three viaducts and one tunnel.
Estimated construction period is 24 months, while the bidding deadline is September 18.
In a separate statement, the EBRD said that Autoceste Federacije BiH are also inviting sealed tenders from consultants to supervise the construction works. This tender is open until September 4.
Autoceste Federacije BiH operates in the Federation, one of the two entities that form Bosnia. The other is the Serb Republic.
Corridor Vc connects the port of Ploce in Croatia with Budapest in Hungary via Bosnia and Herzegovina.
