October 30 (SeeNews) - Sarajevo-based Bosna Bank International (BBI) said on Tuesday it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Federation of the Diaspora of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SSDBiH) to support inbound investments of Bosnian nationals living abroad.
The signatories of the MoU agreed to jointly work on attracting investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to connect economically the representatives of the Bosnian diaspora, BBI said in a statement.
"The potential of the diaspora is enormous. We have top world experts from all fields of economy, science, and society. I believe that there are many citizens born in Bosnia and Herzegovina who are ready to return home and invest in production facilities," the president of BBI, Amer Bukvic, has said.
BBI Bank aims to support Bosnian citizens in the realisation of their business ideas in the country, open new jobs and operate successfully, Bukvic said. "With our experience and knowledge, will try to make it easier for people to start a business."
According to the data from Bosnia's central bank, the Bosnian diaspora sends about 3 billion marka ($1.7 billion/1.5 billion euro) to the country annually BBI said.
