November 12 (SeeNews) - The insurance companies operating in Bosnia posted gross written premiums (GWPs) of 618.3 million marka ($361.9 million/316.1 million euro) in the first nine months of 2021, up from 569.1 million marka in the same period of 2020, the country's insurance agency said.
Non-life insurance premiums increased by 7.7% year-on-year to 492.3 million marka in the nine months through September, while premiums in the life insurance segment went up 12.3% to 125.9 million marka, according to figures released by Bosnia's insurance agency.
Adriatic Osiguranje was the biggest insurer in the first nine months of 2021 in terms of GWP, followed by UNIQA Osiguranje and Sarajevo-Osiguranje.
The insurance agency's report comprises data of 25 insurance companies.
