November 8 (SeeNews) - The insurance companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina posted gross written premiums (GWPs) of 668.7 million marka ($341.8 million/341.9 million euro) in the January-September period, up 8.2% compared with the same period of 2021, the country's insurance agency said.
Non-life insurance premiums increased by 7.4% year-on-year to 528.7 million marka in the January-September period, while premiums in the life insurance segment went up 11.1% to 139.9 million marka, according to figures published on the website of Bosnia's insurance agency.
Adriatic Osiguranje was the biggest insurer in the period under review in terms of GWPs, with premiums reaching 61.9 million marka, followed by UNIQA Osiguranje with 55.5 million marka and Triglav Osiguranje with 52.1 million marka.
The insurance agency's report comprises data of 25 insurance companies.
