August 12 (SeeNews) - Bosnian insurer Croatia Osiguranje d.d. Mostar said it turned to a 749,000 marka ($451,000/383,000 euro) net profit in the first half of 2020, from a 2.1 million marka loss in the like period of 2019.
The company's earned premium, however, dropped 8.9% on the year to 19 million marka in January-June, Mostar-based Croatia Osiguranje said in a statement earlier this week.
Its net expenses for insurance cases remained mostly flat at 12.9 million marka, while net operating costs fell 20% on the year to 7.7 million marka.
The company's total assets climbed to 140.3 million marka at the end of June, from 135.9 million marka at end-2019.
Zagreb-based Croatia Osiguranje controls 95% of the Bosnian insurer.
