August 16 (SeeNews) - Bosnian insurer ASA Osiguranje [SAJ:ASAOR] said its net profit slumped to 212,688 marka ($110,100/108,700 euro) in the first half of 2022, compared with a net profit of 1.5 million marka booked in the like period last year.
The insurer's gross written premiums went up 14.4% to 17.4 million marka in the period under review, ASA Osiguranje said in a filing to the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) on Monday.
However, ASA Osiguranje's operating expenses increased to 8.8 million marka in the January-June period, up 29.2% on the year.
The insurer started operations in October 2007. It is part of ASA Group, which comprises some 20 companies active in consulting, marketing and financial services as well as imports and sale of motor vehicles and auto parts.
Its shares last traded on the SASE on December 27, closing 84% higher at 184 marka.
