SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 15 (SeeNews) – Bosnian pharmaceuticals producer Bosnalijek [SAJ:BSNLR] said its net profit rose to 13 million marka ($7.4 million/6.6 million euro) in 2018, from 9.7 million marka in the prior year.
The company's operating income expanded 10.5% to 171.3 million marka last year, while operating costs increased 6.7% to 131.5 million marka, Bosnalijek said in a filing to the Sarajevo Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
Bosnalijek's base capital grew 2.4% on the year to 90.4 million marka.
Exports contributed 76% to the company's sales revenues. Russia was the most profitable export market as it generated revenue of 49 million euro, representing 79% of the value of Bosnalijek's exports in 2018.
The company employs 870 people in Bosnia.
