May 3 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's brewer Pivara Tuzla said on Thursday its net profit edged down to 3.7 million marka ($2.3 million/1.9 million euro) in 2017, from 3.9 million marka a year earlier.
The brewer's operating income climbed 9.3% to 28.8 million marka last year, while its operating costs edged up to 21.2 million marka from 20.3 million marka in 2016, it said in a Sarajevo bourse filing.
Last month, Bosnia's competition authority said the country's largest retailer Bingo has applied for permission to acquire local company RK Invest, which holds an 82.6% stake in brewer Pivara Tuzla.
Tuzla is located in the Federation - one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Serb Republic.
