March 30 (SeeNews) - The Bosnian banking sector's net profit rose to record-high 370.5 million marka ($208.4 million/189.4 million euro) in 2019, from 330.4 million marka a year earlier, central bank data showed.
The total revenue of banks operating in Bosnia increased by 2.3% last year, reaching 1.5 billion marka, according to data published by Bosnia's central bank, CBBH.
Net interest income fell 1.2% to 835.8 million marka.
Deposits increased by 10% to 23 billion marka.
Non-performing loans (NPLs) amounted to 1.5 billion marka in 2019, down from 1.7 billion marka a year earlier. Total loans amounted to 20.7 billion marka at the end of December, up 7% on the year.
The total assets of the country's banking system, comprising 23 banks, rose to 32 billion marka as at the end of last year, compared to 29.6 billion marka at end-2018.
