SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), June 19 (SeeNews) – Bosnia's government decided to direct 85% of the funds raised from the granting of licences for mobile telecommunications services in 2015 finance improvements to road infrastructure.
Bosnia will channel 14.96 million marka ($8.8 million/7.6 million euro) of 17.60 million marka earned from the awarding of licences for universal mobile telecommunications systems (UMTS) to finance the construction of roads throughout the country, the Council of Ministers said following its session on Monday.
The remaining 15% or 2.64 million marka will go towards the development of the communications sector.
The Bosnian government said also that unused funds from UMTS licensing, which had previously been allocated, will be redirected to co-finance new road infrastructure projects in several cities and municipalities in the country.
