June 19 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's state-owned motorway company Autoceste FBiH said it will sign on June 20 a contract for the construction of a 11.75 kilometre long motorway section, part of European transport Corridor Vc.
The construction of the Pocitelj-Zvirovici section is divided into two lots.
Autoceste FBiH will sign the contract with China State Construction Engineering Corporation for Lot 1 and with a consortium of Azerbaijan's Azvirt, China' Sinohydro Corporation and Power China Road Bridge Group for Lot 2, the Bosnian company said in a statement on Tuesday.
The value of Lot 1 is 56.5 million euro ($63.3 million), while Lot 2 is valued at 28.1 million euro, in both cases without VAT.
The construction of the Pocitelj-Zvirovici section is being financed with the proceeds of a loan from the European Investment Bank.
Works on Lot 1 should be completed within 24 months, while the construction of Lot 2, which includes the Pocitelj bridge, will last 30 months.
The Pocitelj bridge will be 945 metres in length and will connect the two banks of the Neretva river in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina.
European Corridor Vc connects the port of Ploce in Croatia with Hungarian capital Budapest via Bosnia.
