October 27 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Serbia have opened a a joint trade and tourism office in Istanbul to promote the economic and tourism potential of the two countries in Turkey, Serbian trade minister Rasim Ljajic said.
Rasim Ljajic, Bosnian foreign trade minister Mirko Sarovic and Turkish economy minister Nihat Zeybekci opened the new bureau ahead of a trilateral business forum in Istanbul.
"It (the office) will be a place where potential investors can obtain the necessary information about investment conditions in the two countries", Ljajic said in a statement on Wednesday.
The project is also expected to stimulate trade between the countries.
The government of Turkey donated the facilities for the bureau and covered the furnishing costs.
Sarovic told media, also on Wednesday, that Bosnia's trade with Turkey had increased to $600 million (549.2 million euro) in 2015 and was expected to surpass a $1 billion this year.
