January 11 (SeeNews) - Bosnian state-owned road construction company Autoceste FBiH selected a consortium led by Slovenian engineering company Elea iC as winner in a 5.9 million euro ($6.3 million) tender for a consultant on a project for the construction of the Prenj road tunnel, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said.
The consortium also includes Austrian civil engineering company iC Consulenten ZT, Albanian consultancy services provider SEED Consulting and Slovenian engineering and consulting company IBE, the EBRD said in a notice on Tuesday.
The tender is for consultancy services for development of preliminary design for the works contract for Prenj tunnel and preparation of tender documents, the EBRD said.
Autoceste FBiH launched the tender for consultancy services on the Prenj tunnel project, part of the Bosnian section of pan-European Corridor Vc, in December 2021.
The whole project for the construction of the Prenj tunnel is estimated at 600 million euro, financed by loans from the EBRD and European Investment Bank (EIB), as well as grants from the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).
European transport Corridor Vc has a total length of 700 km and connects the Adriatic port of Ploce in Croatia with Budapest in Hungary via Bosnia. Its length in Bosnia is some 340 km.
