November 24 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina launched a call for proposals for the construction of the Plava Voda regional water supply system, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said.
The project also includes works on the protection of the Plava Voda spring and landscaping for a touristic zone, according to a tender announcement published on the EBRD's e-procurement portal ECEPP on Wednesday.
The deadline for submitting proposals is January 16.
The country will use funding from a loan provided by the EBRD to cover costs for the contract.
The value of the planned works is estimated at 24.46 million euro ($25.5 million), local news agency Ekapija reported on Wednesday.
The aim of the project is to build water intake structures at the Plava Voda spring and a 33-kilometre-long water pipeline from the spring through the municipalities of Novi Travnik, Vitez and Busovaca to the city of Zenica, according to the report.
