July 14 (SeeNews) - German engineering and electronics company Bosch said that it has started the construction of a 21 million euro ($25 million) office building in Cluj.
The 10,000 sq m building will be the second one located within the Bosch engineering centre in Cluj-Napoca, the company said in a press release on Tuesday.
Bosch expects to finalise works on the building in 2023 and start activity there at the beginning of 2024.
The first building within the engineering centre was inaugurated in February 2020 and has an area of 17,000 sq m.
The Bosch Group has been present on the Romanian market for 27 years. Currently, it operates five entities - an R&D center in Cluj, two production units for mobility solutions in - Cluj and Blaj, a technological industrial production unit in Blaj and an outsourcing service center Business Processes in Timisoara. In Bucharest, Bosch operates a sales office for its mobility solutions, consumer goods and construction and energy technology divisions.
The company employed 8,160 in Romania at end-2020.
