August 23 (SeeNews) - Turnover on the Slovenian stock exchange rose on Wednesday, as the bulk was generated by a block deal in the shares of drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG], stock exchange data showed.
Krka generated a turnover of 9.1 million euro ($10.7 million), including a 9.0 million euro block deal for 155,800 shares. Krka shares rose the most among blue chips on Wednesday, closing 2.3% higher at 57.40 euro.
Total trading turnover on the LJSE increased to 10.1 million euro on Wednesday from 785,490 euro on Tuesday.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on LJSE, rose 0.58% to 821.3 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index increased 0.94%.
Insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] was the top blue-chip decliner on Wednesday, closing 1.02% lower at 27.11 euro.
