November 24 (SeeNews) - Two people died and 16 were injured in an explosion at an anti-hail missiles plant in Serbia's capital Belgrade, the government said.
The blast took place at 14:13 CET on November 23 at an anti-hail missiles fuel production unit of the factory, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.
Firefighters managed to put the situation under control and rescued five people, the director of the Belgrade fire and rescue brigade, Milos Majstorovic, said in the statement.
According to Serbian media reports, the factory is owned by Belgrade-based company EdePro.
