November 29 (SeeNews) - The Belgrade Stock Exchange indices closed mixed on Monday amid a surge in turnover, backed by trading in Treasury bonds, bourse data showed.
The total turnover on the bourse went up to 2.748 billion dinars ($26.5 million/23.4 million euro) on Monday from 3.2 million dinars generated on Friday, as trading in seven-year T-notes maturing in February 2022 totalled 2.744 billion dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session flat at 812.37 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, ticked down 0.1% to 1,683.48.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue-chip gainers, as its shares went up 0.16% to 620 dinars. The company also generated the largest turnover among the blue-chips, of 2.5 million dinars.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 1.0 million dinars.
