October 21 (SeeNews) - The Belgrade Stock Exchange closed down on Thursday, with industrial chemicals maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] pacing the blue-chip decliners, bourse data showed.
Messer Tehnogas' shares closed 1.19% lower at 15,800 dinars on Thursday. Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] was another major decliner, with its shares falling 1.10% to 1,800 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.36% at 788.13 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.39% at 1,657.84.
Insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] was the only gainer among the blue chips, with its share price edging up 0.08% to 2,401 dinars.
The Belgrade Stock Exchange's total turnover rose to 1.706 billion dinars ($20 million/17 million euro) on Thursday from 11 million dinars on Wednesday.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 2.8 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.7 billion dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Thursday.
