July 19 (SeeNews) - The Belgrade Stock Exchange indices closed down on Tuesday amid a higher turnover, bourse data showed.
The total turnover on the bourse went up to 221.6 million dinars ($1.9 million/1.9 million euro) on Tuesday from 35.4 million dinars generated on Monday.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.72% at 839.43 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, went down 0.66% to 1,678.98.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] paced the blue-chip losers, as its shares went down 4.7% to 1,601 dinars. Metalac also generated the largest turnover on the stock exchange, of 2.6 million dinars.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 6.7 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 209.3 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Tuesday.
