February 1 (SeeNews) - The two share indices on the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed lower on Wednesday, as total trading turnover increased, bourse data showed.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.35% at 857.36 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also closed up 0.16% at 1,762.79.
Household appliances maker Alfa Plam [BEL:ALFA] shares lost the most, falling 8.65% to 21,011 dinars on Wednesday.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest single portion of the total trading turnover among the blue chips, of 1.5 million dinars, as its shares gained 0.72% to 700 dinars.
The bourse's daily trading turnover came in at 40.9 million dinars ($380,000/348,500 euro) on Wednesday, higher than 3.8 million dinars generated the previous trading day.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 30.9 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
