BELGRADE (Serbia), May 15 (SeeNews) – Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO], the operator of Serbia's Belgrade airport, said on Monday its net profit rose to 510.2 million dinars ($4.5 milion/4.1 million euro) in the first quarter of 2017 from 497.2 million dinars a year earlier.
Operating income increased 11.3% on the year to 1.959 billion dinars in the first quarter of 2017, while operating expenses rose 12.6% to 1.371 billion dinars, Aerodrom Nikola Tesla said in a filing with the Belgrade bourse.
Revenues from the sales of products and services reached 1.76 billion dinars in the first three months of 2017, up from 1.56 billion dinars a year earlier.
The airport operator said last month it targeted passenger traffic of 5.5 million in 2017.
The airport serviced record-high 955,988 passengers in the first quarter of 2017, up 10% year-on-year.
The Serbian government owns the entire capital of Aerodrom Nikola Tesla. Earlier this month, it extended the deadline for submitting non-binding offers in the tender for awarding a 25-year concession contract for operating Belgrade airport to May 30 from May 25.
