September 8 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.34% lower at 887.94 points on Friday, as insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] led the decliners, bourse data showed.
Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] shares closed 1.50% lower at 983 dinars.
Industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] was the only blue-chip gainer on Friday, adding 1.25% to 16,100 dinars.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] generated the day's largest turnover in share trading. A total of 440 Metalac shares changed hands, resulting in a turnover of 704,000 dinars. Metalac closed flat at 1,600 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index closed 0.15% lower at 1,817.13.
The total turnover on the Belgrade bourse fell to 5 million dinars ($45,600/42,600 euro) from 7.4 million dinars on Thursday. Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 3.4 million dinars of Friday's total.
Between September 4 and September 8, the BELEX15 went up 0.18%, while the BELEXline rose 0.08%. Total turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange rose sharply to 832.7 million dinars this week, from 69.3 million dinars last week, on the back of trading in government securities.
