March 17 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.02% higher at 897.50 points on Friday, as insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] led the gainers, bourse data showed.
Dunav shares gained 1.47% closing at 1,177 dinars, Belgrade Stock Exchange data showed.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] once again generated the highest turnover. A total of 2,451 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 1.9 million dinars. NIS closed 0.51% lower at 776 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index closed in negative territory - down 0.03%% at 1,799.08.
The bourse's total trading turnover went down to 7.5 million dinars ($67,900/63,900 euro) from 160.2 million dinars on Thursday.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 450,000 of the total turnover on the stock exchange on Friday.
In the period between March 13 and 17, the BELEX15 went up 0.35%, while BELEXline went down 0.01%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 275.6 million dinars, versus 117.5 million dinars in the previous trading week.
The World Bank approved on Friday a 27.7 million euro loan to support Serbia in its effort to deepen and further develop its capital markets.
