March 3 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 1.30% higher at 891.48 points on Friday, as oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, bourse data showed.
A total of 28,219 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 21.4 million dinars. NIS closed 0.13% lower at 759 dinars.
Energoprojekt led the blue-chip gainers on Friday, closing 25.71% higher at 440 dinars, as just one share traded.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also gained ground, closing 1.66% higher at 1,815.11 points.
The bourse's total trading turnover rose to 27.5 million dinars ($248,900/234,400 euro), from 22.9 million dinars on Thursday.
No Treasury bonds traded on the Belgrade bourse on Friday.
In the period between February 27 and March 3, BELEX15 went up 1.94%, while BELEXline rose 2.71%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 117.6 million dinars, versus 103.8 million dinars in the previous trading week.
