May 26 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.76% higher at 914.33 points on Friday, boosted by gains in oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] and Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO], bourse data showed.
NIS shares closed 4.56% higher at 849 dinars, Belgrade Stock Exchange data showed. Aerodrom Nikola Tesla closed 0.20% lower at 2,001 dinars.
Insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] paced the decliners, closing 1.34% lower at 1,029 dinars.
A total of 6,189 NIS shares changed hands generating the day's largest turnover of 5.3 million dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also rose, closing 0.42% higher at 1,815.02.
The bourse's total turnover increased to 17.4 million dinars ($159,900/148,700 euro) from 14.5 million dinars on Thursday. Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 72,875 dinars of Friday's turnover.
Between May 22 and May 26, the BELEX15 went down 0.66%, while the BELEXline fell 0.36%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade Stock Exchange amounted to 47.2 million dinars this week, versus 296 million dinars last week.
