BELGRADE (Serbia), December 19 (SeeNews) – The Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] expects its profit to rise to 29 million euro ($34.2 million) in 2017 from 26 million euro last year, the company CEO, Sasa Vlaisavljevic, has said.
The profit of Aerodrom Nikola Tesla will be equal to the combined earnings of all airports in the region, Vlaisavljevic said in a video file posted on the website of Serbian news agency Tanjug on Monday.
The revenue of the company is expected to rise to 10 billion dinars ($99.2 million/84 million euro) in 2017 from 8.5 billion dinars last year, Aerodrom Nikola Tesla said in a separate statement posted on its website.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla made investments worth 6 billion dinars in the last four years using only own resources in improving the infrastructure and the security of the airport, Vlaislavljevic said during the official ceremony for the bestowing of the annual business awards of Serbia's Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier this month, Serbia's infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic has said she expects Belgrade Nikola Tesla international airport to handle 5.3 million passengers in 2017, up from 4.9 million last year.
The Serbian government owns 83.1% of Aerodrom Nikola Tesla.
