October 23 (SeeNews) - Belgrade airport Nikola Tesla said on Tuesday its net profit through the first nine months of 2007 rose by 24% on the year to 9.97 million euro ($14.2 million) due to the company's improved efficiency.
The airport handled 1,965,737 passengers in the January-September period, up by 12% from a year earlier, the airport operator said in a statement. During that period cargo traffic increased by 3.0% to 8,267 tonnes, it added.
The number of takeoffs and landings rose by 1.0% on the year to 33,252.
Nikola Tesla, which has two terminals, has the capacity to handle some five million passengers a year.
