September 27 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.53% higher at 885.92 points on Wednesday, with trading in Treasury bonds boosting the total turnover, bourse data showed.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] added 9.05% to 1,530 dinars.
At the other end, Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] paced the blue-chip decliners, closing 1.79% lower at 1,915 dinars.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the day's largest turnover. A total of 4,942 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 3.6 million dinars. NIS closed flat at 730 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, added 0.57% to 1,823.37 points.
The total turnover on the Belgrade bourse soared to 576.5 million dinars ($5.2 million/4.9 million euro) on Wednesday from 24.7 million dinars on Tuesday. Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 571.1 million dinars of Wednesday's turnover.
