August 6 (SeeNews) - Bayer Bulgaria, part of German pharmaceutical and life sciences group Bayer, said that it has appointed Ekaterina Karpuzova as its new general manager, as of the beginning of August.
Karpuzova, who will also act as country commercial lead pharmaceuticals for Bulgaria, started her career in the company in 2007, Bayer Bulgaria said in a press release on Monday.
In addition, as of July 2019, Zhecho Murzov was appointed country commercial lead for Bayer Crop Science in Bulgaria.
Gabor Raviczki, who was general manager of Bayer Bulgaria and country commercial lead crop science division, took the role of head of customer marketing crop science for Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova.
Bayer Bulgaria generated sales of 142.2 million levs ($81.5 million/72.7 million euro) in 2018, ending the year with a net profit of 4.4 million levs, according to the company's annual financial statement. The company's crop science division booked sales of 77.5 million levs in 2018, while the healthcare division generated sales of 64.7 million levs.
The company's assets amounted to 51 million levs at the end of 2018.
Bayer Bulgaria is a wholly-owned unit of Dutch-registered Bayer Global Investments, which is part of Germany's Bayer.
