August 1 (SeeNews) - Total trading turnover of Bosnia's Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) rose to 46.4 million marka ($24.3 million/23.7 million euro) in July, compared with 25.9 million marka generated in June, the bourse said.
Equity turnover from regular trading on the BLSE totalled 3.9 million marka in July, higher than 2.5 million marka in the prior month, the bourse said in a monthly report.
The BLSE's total trading turnover amounted to 35.1 million marka in July 2021.
A total of 248 transactions were concluded on the Banja Luka bourse in July, compared with 367 in the previous month and 365 transactions in July 2021.
The BLSE's total market capitalisation amounted to 4.39 billion marka in July, slightly up from 4.35 billion marka the prior month. The bourse's total market capitalisation came in at 4.08 billion marka in July 2021.
The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 746.13 points at the end of July, up 1.04% compared to the end-June value and 32.71% higher compared with its closing value at the end of July 2021.
Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] contributed the largest portion of total trading turnover among the companies on the BLSE in July, of 1 million marka. The telco's shares closed at 1.5 marka at the end of July, slightly down from 1.52 marka at the end of June.
The BLSE is based in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) is based in the other entity, the Federation.
