October 3 (SeeNews) - Total trading turnover of Bosnia's Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) soared to 102.4 million marka ($51.4 million/52.4 million euro) in September, compared with 38.2 million marka generated in August, the bourse said.
Equity turnover from regular trading on the BLSE totalled 3.9 million marka in September, significantly higher than 1.3 million marka in the prior month, the bourse said in a monthly report on Friday.
The BLSE's total trading turnover amounted to 2.7 million marka in September 2021.
A total of 499 transactions were concluded on the Banja Luka bourse in September, compared with 334 in the previous month and 494 transactions in September 2021.
The BLSE's total market capitalisation amounted to 4.59 billion marka in September, up from 4.46 billion marka the prior month. The bourse's total market capitalisation came in at 4 billion marka in September 2021.
The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 773 points at the end of September, up 1.23% compared to the end-August value and 34.21% higher compared with its closing value at the end of September 2021.
Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] contributed the largest portion of total trading turnover among the companies on the BLSE in September, of 1.9 million marka. The telco's shares closed at 1.51 marka at the end of September, slightly up from 1.49 marka at the end of August.
The BLSE is based in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) is based in the other entity, the Federation.
