November 1 (SeeNews) - Total trading turnover of Bosnia's Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) dropped to 43.4 million marka ($22 million/22.2 million euro) in October, compared with 102.4 million marka generated in September, the bourse said.
Equity turnover from regular trading on the BLSE totalled 2.2 million marka in October, lower than 3.9 million marka in the prior month, the bourse said in a monthly report on Monday.
The BLSE's total trading turnover amounted to 11 million marka in October 2021.
A total of 377 transactions were concluded on the Banja Luka bourse in October, compared with 499 in the previous month and 478 transactions in October 2021.
The BLSE's total market capitalisation amounted to 4.6 billion marka in October, slightly up from 4.59 billion marka the prior month. The bourse's total market capitalisation came in at 4.1 billion marka in October 2021.
The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 785.26 points at the end of October, up 1.59% compared to the end-September value and 23.98% higher compared with its closing value at the end of October 2021.
Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] contributed the largest portion of total trading turnover among the companies on the BLSE in October, of 1.1 million marka. The telco's shares closed at 1.55 marka at the end of October, slightly up from 1.51 marka at the end of September.
The BLSE is based in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) is based in the other entity, the Federation.
