March 28 (SeeNews) - England's Durham Tees Valley Airport (DTVA) announced on Wednesday that tour operator Balkan Holidays London will launch flights from DTVA to Bulgaria's Burgas, on the Black Sea coast.
"[...] today’s announcement is the result of lots of hard work to create the conditions that allow us when a commercially viable opportunity arises, to deliver leisure flights to DTVA," David Grant, managing director at DTVA, said in a statement.
Balkan Holidays will operate one flight per week between DTVA and Burgas from May 18 to September 28, DTVA said in a statement.
The tour operator will offer both package holidays and flight only fares.
Durham Tees Valley Airport is an international airport located east of Darlington in County Durham, north-east England.
Balkan Holidays focuses on resorts in Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Macedonia and Romania.
