BELGRADE (Serbia), October 1 (SeeNews) – Austrian lighting solutions group Zumtobel mulls further investments in Serbia after the launch of its factory in Nis, the company's CEO Alfred Felder said.
"Now we have 40,000 square metres, we have started production and there is still a lot of space and obviously we will look into an expansion in Serbia," Felder said in a video file posted on the website of news agency Tanjug on Friday.
The company's LED lighting solutions factory in Nis started operations on Friday. It has 300 employees and their number is expected to reach 1,100.
"The factoory is to produce both components and luminaires. We plan to increase the volume on both ends in the next months and years," Felder said.
Zumtobel launched serial production of lighting components at the factory in July.
The Austrian company said last year it plans to invest 30.6 million euro ($35.4 million) in its construction.
