TIRANA (Albania), November 26 (SeeNews) – The government of Austria is providing a 900,000 euro ($1.02 million) grant to Albania to support vocational education in the Western Balkan country, economy minister Arben Ahmetaj said.
The purpose of the project is to enhance quality and competitiveness, but also social inclusion of the workforce in the tourism sector by improving education and vocational training in tourism, hospitality and catering, Ahmetaj said in a Facebook post last week, after signing the grant agreement with the head of the Austrian development agency office in Tirana Heinz Habertheuer.
Last week, the Albanian government signed an agreement with Germany, under which Germany is set to provide around 168.4 million euro ($192 million) in grants and loans to support projects in Albania.
