November 14 (SeeNews) - The Macedonian unit of Luxembourg-based steel producer ArcelorMittal said on Tuesday its net loss widened to 79.2 million denars ($1.5 million/1.3 million euro) in the first nine months of 2017 from 20.1 million denars in the prior-year period.
Total operating revenue plummeted 60% year-on-year to 31.9 million denars in the January-September period, ArcelorMittal Skopje said in an interim financial report filed with the Macedonian Stock Exchange .
Total operating revenue doubled to 16.9 million denars in the period under review.
Financial revenue rose to 29.3 million denars in the review period from 9.3 million denars a year earlier, while financial expenses increased by an annual 23% to 123.5 million denars.
ArcelorMittal Skopje produces cold-rolled coils and sheets, galvanized and pre-painted coils, mainly for the general industry segment on the regional market. The global steel maker is present in the SEE region through production plants in Bosnia, Macedonia and Romania and offices in Bulgaria and Serbia.
