August 13 (SeeNews) - Hospitality services operator Apex Alliance Hotel Management said it has opened the new Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Bucharest following a 19 million euro ($21.2 million) investment.
The Hilton Garden Inn is the first hotel in Romania located right within the area of Henri Coanda International Airport, which is situated some 15 km away from capital Bucharest, Apex Alliance Hotel Management said in a press release on Monday.
The company management estimates an average occupancy rate of 70% for the new hotel.
Opened on Saturday, the Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Airport aims to attract the business segment, staff of airlines operating at Henri Coanda Airport, as well as passengers whose flights have been canceled or delayed.
"We are addressing and already have requests from companies that carry out business activities in Bucharest and nearby cities such as Ploiesti, Constanta, Galati, Braila, Pitesti, but also to those who need an accessible, functional space, with a direct connection with the airport, so that their business activity is not affected by external factors, such as traffic to and from the center of Bucharest ", Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Airport general manager Anca Madalina Cristea said.
Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Airport belongs to the "focused hotels" segment of the Hilton chain and has a capacity of 218 rooms both in the superior and standard category, as well as rooms for people with disabilities.
Apex Alliance Hotel Management is an independent operator which focuses on establishing and developing longstanding partnerships with institutional investors, property owners or private equity funds while providing the management services to their existing or future hotels.
