September 13 (SeeNews) - Albania's average gross monthly wage increased 4.7% year-on-year to 56,710 leks ($550.3/466.8 euro) in the second quarter of 2021, after rising 5.2% in the previous three-month period, the statistical office said.
The average gross wage in the public sector amounted to 68,196 leks, while in the private sector it stood at 51,247 leks, INSTAT said in a statement on Friday.
In the April-June period, the biggest average wage, 120,571 leks, was paid in the financial and insurance sector, followed by the information and communication sector with 88,345 leks. The lowest wage - 35,887 leks - was recorded in agriculture, forestry and fishing, followed by the construction sector - 42,505 leks.
Albania's minimum gross monthly wage is set at 30,000 leks.
