June 6 (SeeNews) - American Airlines is launching seasonal flights between Philadelphia and Croatia's Dubrovnik, which will link the Adriatic country and the US for the first time after almost 30 years, the head of the city's Tourist Board said.
The first plane is fully booked and will land in Dubrovnik on Saturday morning, Romana Vlasic told public TV station HRT on Wednesday.
The flights will take place three times a week until the end of September, Vlasic said, adding that the frequency is expected to increase to four weekly flights during that month.
She added that the US is the second most strategic market for Dubrovnik after Great Britain.
