March 29 (SeeNews) - Malta-based sportsbook and iGaming software provider Altenar said it is launching activities in Bulgaria after joining hands with local online bookmaker and gambling firm Betmarket.
The partnership is expected to fuel rapid growth for Altenar on the Bulgarian market, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
"The Balkan region is full of fantastic operators and to launch with Betmarket allows us to understand this market further than we already do. It is without question one of Bulgaria’s leading operators and we have the potential to grow alongside it, integrating many of our award-winning products onto its platform over time," Altenar account manager Aggelos Stravelas said.
As an operator, Betmarket sees the deal as an opportunity to propel the business to new heights, thanks to the Maltese company's established sportsbook and casino offerings. The Bulgarian company is already live with some of Altenar's products such as player props markets and virtual sports.
Founded in 2011, Altenar is licensed to operate across 13 major global markets, including the UK, Canada, Brazil as well as Romania, Greece and Moldova. Betmarket started out as a bingo and slot games operator in 1997.
