May 4 (SeeNews) - ALS, an Australia-headquartered company for testing, inspection, certification, and verification services, said it has acquired for an undisclosed sum Croatian provider of environmental testing Hidro.Lab.
"The acquisition of Hidro.Lab further solidifies our commitment to expanding environmental capabilities within Europe,” interim CEO and managing director Malcolm Dean said in a press release. “The Hidro.Lab team joins ALS with a wealth of knowledge and experience highly complementary to our microbiological operations in Zagreb, Croatia," he added.

Founded in 2003 and with operations based in Kastav, in Croatia, Hidro.Lab offers a comprehensive portfolio of services, including sampling and physical-chemical laboratory testing focused on wastewater, surface water, and solid waste. The company has grown in the past twenty years to the position of Croatia's third-largest private environmental testing laboratory, according to the press release.
According to data from the court registry, Hidro.Lab so far has been owned by Danijela Kolanovic.
