March 27 (SeeNews) - Croatian insurer Allianz Zagreb said on Tuesday its gross written premiums rose by 2.7% to 1.146 billion kuna ($191 million/154 million euro) last year.
The company recorded a gross profit of 138.2 million kuna in 2017, with 77.9 million kuna of them generated in the life insurance segment and 60.3 million kuna on the non-life insurance market, Allianz Zagreb said in a statement.
The insurer's gross premium income from life insurance fell 1.6% last year, reaching to 531.3 million kuna.
Its solvency ratio was 257.7% and its combined ratio stood at 94.1% at the end of December.
Allianz Zagreb's market share remained stable at 12.7% in 2017. Its market share in the life insurance segment rose by 0.2 percentage points to 10.1% and on the non-life insurance market it fell by 0.4 percentage points to 18.1%.
The assets under management of Allianz Zagreb's obligatory pension funds amounted to 33.1 billion kuna at the end of December, giving it a market share of about 40%. The company managed voluntary pension funds of slightly more than 2.06 billion kuna, or 53% of total on the Croatian market.
