March 23 (SeeNews) - The Croatian unit of German insurer Allianz, Allianz Hrvatska, said on Wednesday its gross profit reached 125 million kuna ($16.5 million/18.1 million euro) last year, an increase of 58 million kuna compared to 2020.
The company's gross premium income rose 7.3% to 1.230 billion kuna in 2021, Allianz Hrvatska said in a press release.
In non-life insurance, gross premium income increased by 3.5% to 792.8 million kuna, while in life insurance it rose by 15.1% to 437.4 million kuna.
The company's market share remained stable at 10.5% last year. In life insurance it rose by 0.7 percentage points to 15.1%, while in non-life insurance it declined by 0.8 percentage points to 9.0%.
According to its website, Allianz Hrvatska is the second largest insurer in the Adriatic country of 3.89 million people.
