February 18 (SeeNews) - Serbian household appliances manufacturer Alfa Plam [BEL:ALFA] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) on Tuesday, as stock indices fell, bourse data showed.
A total of 879 Alfa Plam shares changed hands in a turnover of 23.3 million dinars. Alfa Plam closed flat at 26,500 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 3.14% at 814.35 points.
Bus transport company Lasta [BEL:LSTA] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 2% to 714 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 5.42% at 1,763.16.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 398 million dinars ($3.65 million/3.38 million euro) on Tuesday, up from 3.9 million dinars on Friday, as 79 transactions were carried out.
The BELEX was closed on Monday for the country's National Day.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 987,256 dinars.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
In the period between February 10 and 14, BELEX15 grew by 0.57% and BELEXline rose by 0.92%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market last week was 663.9 million dinars, versus 2.195 billion dinars in the previous week.
